Welcome to Monica Vazquez Acosta's homepage

I am a Ramón y Cajal researcher in the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias. My research
is financed with grant RYC-2013-14660 of the Ministerio de Economia y Competitividad.

I am working in the ground-based gamma-ray astronomy experiment Magic located in
the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos in La Palma. My research in MAGIC is
carried out within the Active Galactic Nuclei and the Astroparticles and Fundamental
physics groups.

I am also involved in the future project to build an array of Cherenkov Telescopes CTA.
The first prototype LST1 of the Large-Size Telescopes (LST) has already been built in
La Palma.

I am also a member of the AMS-02 experiment, which is a particle physics detector in
the international space station.

Previously I worked in the CMS experiment at CERN and the ZEUS experiment.
