SUMMARY:Unveiling the evolutionary history of the Magellanic Clouds through
detection and analysis of stellar over-densities: clusters and streams.
DESCRIPTION:Unveiling the evolutionary history of the Magellanic Clouds thr
ough detection and analysis of stellar over-densities: clusters and stream
s.\nDr. Massimiliano Gatto\n\nThe Magellanic Clouds (MCs) are the closest
example of a three-bodyinteracting system composed of the Milky Way (MW),
the Large Magellanic Cloud(LMC), and the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC). The
refore, the unique opportunityprovided by their relative proximity allowed
us to analyse with matchless detailthe dynamical and morphological evolut
ion that a galaxy experience as aconsequence of the mutual gravitational i
nteraction with its neighbors. In thiscontext, we performed a multi-facete
d analysis, taking advantage of astrometric, kinematics, and photometric da
ta, with the main goal of unveiling the pastevolutionary path of the MCs a
nd their intense interaction history. We tackledthis task by using two com
plementary approaches: (i) we adopted the propertiesof the MCs star cluste
r (SC) system to get insights into their past evolutionand (ii) we probed
the low-luminous regime of the outer regions of the MCs asthey are the mos
t sensitive to recent or past tidal stripping events. I willdiscuss the ma
in outcomes up-to-date of this project and its future perspectivesin light
of the new ongoing facilities.\nZoom link: https://rediris.zoom.us/j
