 \nDr. Devika Kamath\n\n In this talk I will present the our work on an exo
 tic group  \nof evolved objects: post-AGB and post-RGB stars and the excel
 lent  \nconstraints they provide for single and binary star evolution and 
  \nnucleosynthesis. These objects have also revealed new evolutionary  \nc
 hannels and AGB nucleosynthesis which is vital for understanding the  \nco
 mplex chemical evolution of our Galaxy as well as external galaxies.
