VI Spanish Meeting of Solar and Heliospheric Physics

The meeting aims to maintain the cohesion and collaboration of Spanish groups working on this field in the face of the implementation of different initiatives. Among them is the EST (European Solar Telescope) project, coordinated by the IAC under the direction of the researcher of this center, Manuel Collados. EST will be the largest telescope of its kind in Europe with 4 m in diameter and destined to the Observatories of the Canary Islands.  

The advances in EDP (Energetic Particle Detector) and PHI (Polarimetric and Helioseismic Imager) instruments, led and co-led by Spanish researchers, respectively, and in the European Space Agency's (ESA) Solar Orbiter mission, which also has Spanish participation, will be discussed. As well as the most relevant scientific advances in this area.
