"Exploring the Universe" with the IAC in Las Palmas

On Wednesday April 15th, as was done on February 25th at the Teatro Leal of La Laguna, the Guiniguada Theatre (Teatro Guiniguada) of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will host a scientific outreach event entitled "Exploring the Universe", in which the director of the IAC, Rafael Rebolo, and other researchers and science communicators of the center will present a tour to the Universe, from the most distant galaxies to our star, the Sun, highlighting the research carried out in the IAC and in its observatories. Admission will be free on a "first-come first-served' basis.

The event is part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Canarian Observatories and the IAC headquarters in Tenerife, and will consist of a series of brief interventions by IAC researchers to present their work areas, the contribution of this research center in the different fields of Astrophysics and the present and future instrumentation in the Canarian Observatories. The participants will be the Scientific Director of the Severo Ochoa Program and IAC's Director, Rafael Rebolo, Alfred Rosenberg, Jose Alberto Rubiño (formerly Advanced SO Fellow), Cristina Ramos Almeida, Héctor Socas Navarro, Enric Pallé and Nayra Rodríguez Eugenio (science communicator of the SO program).
